Overview

I am an award-winning freelance service designer and business consultant. I have had over 8 years of experience working with internationally-recognized brands such as Boston Pizza, the Jim Pattison Auto Group, Simon Fraser University, the Salvation Army and more.

I love great stories - I have a deep passion for doing things that tells a great story, and I want to learn about yours. I’ve been fortunate enough to start / work with some amazing individuals in my life, building non-profits, charities, for-profit companies, etc. I love the freedom of creating something from nothing - it's absolutely rewarding.

Process is key to my success. I use a very strict design process in all my work that has trained me to not only think outside the box, but trained me to think quickly and adapt flexibly. Let me show you how creative I can be - my expertise lie in corporate branding, typography and web / print design.

Experience

As the Design Team Lead at Convertus, I lead and manage a team of designers & developers to build the brand identities of multi-million dollar dealerships across Canada. Sustaining a portfolio of 40-50+ clients, our team of 4 achieves this feat by building out SEO-friendly, responsive websites within a three-to-four day timeframe. Having efficient processes are the key to our success, and creating strong work culture is what takes the team to the next level.

Convertus is an innovative digital marketing company that has asserted itself as a leader in digital search for automotive dealerships. We specialize in creating strategic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Search Engine Marketing (SEM) solutions that work together to provide dealers with a major competitive advantage in the realm of online search. Our organic and paid search solutions are used by a wide range of successful dealerships across Canada and the United States.
As the Co-Founder of One Big Movement, I co-created this not-for-profit organization after recognizing the seriousness of child poverty in BC. As the Marketing Director, we oversaw the growth of the organization by developing key educational programs at local schools and several community engagement events to shine a light on the issue. Leading a team of 12, we gained the opportunity to meet with government officials, participate in different online & print mediums, and engage in a variety of public speaking forums.

One Big Movement (OBM) is a local not-for-profit organization that focuses on addressing the issue of child poverty through the mentorship of youth to become active citizens in the community across British Columbia. Child poverty is a prevalent issue in BC, and while there are many organizations who invest in the efforts overseas in developing countries, One Big Movement aims to address this issue on a local scale in BC. By investing in the power and potential of youth, we aim to develop a generation of leaders who will not only create awareness but will take action against child poverty.
As the eCommerce Creative Designer at the Jim Pattison Auto Group, I was solely responsible for developing the company's digital presence, including its websites, mail outs, digital billboards, email blasts, micro-websites & more. My contributions helped the group record its most profitable year in its 50 years of history, while also becoming BC's #1 Automotive Retailer.

The Jim Pattison Auto Group proudly represents 15 brands across 24 locations in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Surrey, Coquitlam, Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo, Edmonton and Winnipeg. Our dealerships represent a number of automotive brands, including: Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Hyundai, Equus, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, Subaru, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, ProMaster, and Cars Unlimited.
As the Program Manager of the SFU Entrepreneur of the Year, I brought the program to new heights by leading a team of 10 students in coordinating an 8-month long university-wide program targeted for student entrepreneurs, including workshops, competition & networking reception across the Lower Mainland for over 500+ industry professionals, students & entrepreneurs. The program was a rousing success at SFU, bringing in over $24,000 in sponsorship including the likes of Ernst & Young, Visa, and more.

SFU Entrepreneur of the Year is an educational program that provides resources & a platform for student entrepreneurs to present their businesses in front of industry professionals. The objective of the program is not only to recognize the hard work that these student entrepreneurs have dedicated to their business, but to inspire others to follow in their footsteps in turning their dream ideas into reality.
